Corrie’s Bethany set to cause ‘unintentional trouble’ between Daisy and Daniel

Coronation Street favourite Bethany Platt is set to cause “unintentional trouble” between Daisy Midgeley and Daniel Osbourne following their emotional split.

Loyal fans of the ITV soap will know the couple have been through their fair share of struggles over the past few months. The barmaid and her former flame Ryan Connor have been through a lot following the horrific acid attack back in March.

Since then, they fell into a steamy affair behind her fiancé's back. After months of lying, the brunette beauty finally came clean about their affair when Daniel asked her to adopt Daniel’s son Bertie.

Much to her disappointment, the beloved teacher put an end to the relationship and called off their engagement for good. Now, the blonde bombshell is set to return to the cobbles with a bang as she reconnects with her former flame Daniel.

In an interview with Daily Star and other press, Lucy Fallon has teased what fans can expect from the return of the feisty Platt later this year. When asked if fans could look forward to seeing Bethany’s wild side return, the 28-year-old immediately gushed: “Yeah, I'd probably say so.

“I feel like the way she sort of comes back is a bit dramatic for some people on the street and I think she is causing trouble already. But I think it’s unintentional, she’s not coming abck to cause problems for other people.”

Over the past five years, the blonde beauty has been training to become a journalist in the big smoke and worked for some of the country’s biggest publications before she moved back up north. It is not yet known why the young mum has returned to her grass roots.

Loyal fans of the ITV soap will remember the blonde beauty almost got engaged to Daniel before she moved to London. Now that Daniel is a single man, the possibilities of the two former flames running into each other is extremely high.

Lucy went on: “She obviously wanted to be with Daniel last time she was on the street and obviously he’s proposed to her but he called her somebody else’s name. So that was her cue to be like, ‘Right, I'm off’.

“I would say that they probably haven’t spoken at all in the time that she’s been away. So I imagine when they bump into each other again, and they’re both in new situations in different parts of their lives that it will spark that connection again.”

When asked if her character could cause some trouble between Daniel and Daisy, she admitted: “I think so, I think unintentional trouble because she’s obviously not been aware of what’s been going on.”

Fans will have to stay tuned to see if Bethany and Daniel will rekindle their romance on the cobbles in the new year.
