David Beckham’s sisters – from cash-strapped to split from Big Brother star
‘BECKHAM’ documentary series: official trailer
David Beckham is probably one of the world’s most famous footballers and has gone on to raise an even more famous family with his wife Victoria.
But what about the Manchester United star’s own family?
The former England captain, 46, who recently dropped a documentary about his life on and off the pitch on Netflix called Beckham, is the middle child of his two siblings – Lynne and Joanne Beckham.
The Beckham sisters have mainly been out of the spotlight in recent years, but what do we know about David’s sisters?
Read on to find out…
Lynne Georgina Beckham
Lynne Beckham-Briggs is David’s older sister.
She was born in 1972 and is three years older than her famous footballer brother.
Lynne was working as a receptionist and her little brother seemed happy to support her while he earned millions as a midfielder for Manchester United and England in the 1990s and 2000s.
But their relationship became strained in 1999 when Lynne married Colin Every, whom she shares three children with, Freddie, Georgina and Josh.
Although David attended the wedding ceremony and was pictured with his sister outside the church, his wife Victoria allegedly refused to go.
After Lynne’s bitter divorce from Colin in 2010, she left her job and was claiming £164 a week in benefits.
David paid around £250k for Lynne’s Romford home over a decade ago, which is now thought to be worth around £470k.
In 2010, Now reported that David was upset after learning that his sister Lynne was “claiming benefits”.

A source told the publication at the time: “David genuinely had no idea how bad things were for Lynne and he has always tried to help his sister.”
Lynne’s luck didn’t get much better, as shortly after she split from Colin she met Kevin Briggs, who was later jailed.
Then in 2019, Lynne was seen flogging her belongings online just days after her famous brother hosted a lavish £30,000 New Year’s Eve party – which she reportedly wasn’t present at.
While the rest of the family enjoyed the flashy bash and Christmas fun, Essex-based Lynne was selling old children’s clothes to make some extra cash.

Taking to Facebook, the mum-of-three sold clobber for as little as £2, she also flogged second-hand patio slabs, packets of tobacco and even old football boots.
In January this year, Lynne took to Facebook again to announce she would be “walking 150K for Great Ormond Street Hospital,” in February 2023. She went on to raise £145 for the hospital.
The pair’s once fractured relationship appears to be fixed as David wished Lynne Happy Birthday in a sweet Instagram post earlier this year in May, where he wrote: “We love you”.
Joanne Beckham
Joanne Beckham is David’s younger sister by seven years.
The youngest of the Beckham siblings followed in her mother, Sandra’s footsteps, initially training as a hairdresser at the Vidal Sassoon Salon in London before working in Essex.
However, Joanne had a career change and decided to set up a £400-per-month concierge service with David’s fellow former professional footballer Jay Smith, which is now no longer running.
Then in May 2017, she went official with her relationship with 2019 Big Brother contestant Kris Donnelly, who previously dated Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter.
Unlike his relationship with Lynne’s ex, it was believed David had struck up a close friendship with the former reality TV star while he was dating his younger sister.
Just months after they went public with their romance, Joanne revealed she was expecting a baby with Kris by posting an adorable black and white snap of Kris planting a kiss on her blossoming bump.

However, Kris and Joanne ended their relationship just six months after welcoming daughter Peggy.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Joanne and Kris have had a really tough few months.
“Looking after a newborn knocked them for six, and dealing with the constant exhaustion and worry put a huge strain on their relationship.”
After learning of their split, David was supposedly upset by the news but was “making sure he is there for his sister and supporting her,” the insider noted.
It’s not clear what Joanne is up to now but it’s apparent she still maintains a strong relationship with her older brother David – who recently paid a tribute to his “amazing sister” on her birthday back in January.
