Dustin Lance Black supported in court by husband Tom Daley as he faces trial today over nightclub 'assault' | The Sun

DUSTIN Lance Black has arrived at court with husband Tom Daley where he faces trial accused of assaulting a woman at a nightclub.

The screenwriter, 49, allegedly chucked a drink over Teddy Edwardes, who is a host of BBC3 show The Big Proud Party Agency.

Black, who has two kids with Olympic diver Daley, 29, is due to go on trial today at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

The Oscar-winning writer has denied a count of assault by beating following the alleged altercation on August 18 last year.

He is accused of twisting Edwardes wrist – spilling a drink over her at Freedom nightclub in London's Soho.

Earlier this year, a court heard she had been cautioned for punching Black during the row.
