EastEnders star is unrecognisable after quitting BBC role to launch career in US
Rob Kazinsky looks almost unrecognisable from his days in EastEnders, years after quitting the BBC soap to launch his career in the US.
The former soapstar, now 40, left fans shocked as he shared a selfie to Instagram, which saw him sporting a beard and moustache, a rather different look to his days as Sean Slater.
Since leaving the soap he has also had a change of hairstyle and has started wearing glasses, something he bemoaned in the new snap posted to his Instagram Story.
Adding text to the photo, he wrote: "I have to wear glasses now. Wanna fight about it? #ThisIs40."
Rob first shot to fame in the BBC soap back in 2006 initially enjoying a three year run on the show before heading off to pursue other projects, including roles in Hollywood smash hits Pacific Rim and Captain Marvel.
He has since made a number of returns to Albert Square, while also appearing in numerous popular films including Hot Pursuit with Reese Witherspoon and Sofía Vergara, and The Gray Man with Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, and Regé-Jean Page.
Earlier this year, Rob revealed that he was planning to undergo a fitness transformation ahead of turning 40.
Sharing a shirtless photo of himself, he wrote: "You’re gonna be seeing a fair bit more activity over the next few months, and it’s the kind of activity and vanity I steadfastly avoid. Fitness S**t.
"Here is day one, my starting off point. I weight 220lbs, I’m at 19.7% body fat.
"I turn 40 in a few months and one thing I’ve learned is that it’s getting harder and harder every single day to train and recover, I can’t do things like I did in my 20’s, so what’s the plan."
Teasing fans with an upcoming big budget movie role, Rob hinted at another reason he was hoping to get into peak physical shape.
Sharing some more information, he wrote: "I have a great job coming up if the strikes come to an end and I’ve decided to get into superhero shape, without drugs, without PEDs, without help, just a 40 year old fat b*****d making do with what I have still going for me.
"So we will start here as I figure this out. And we will do check ups, and updates and hopefully soon I’ll be able to tell you what it’s for."
