Emmerdales Suni star says he will have undertone of jealousy after Jai twist
Emmerdale actor Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana said there will be tension brewing between Jai and Suni Sharma following their paternal twist discovery.
On Monday night (October 9), Suni was left stunned after Jai informed him that they were brothers and not cousins like they both initially thought. Shocked by the revelations, Suni demanded answers.
Not long after, Suni's and Jai's father Amit made his debut on the show. Trying to smooth matters over, Amit also confirmed that he is Jai's dad.

But with tensions running high, actor Brahmdeo, who plays Suni, has confirmed that things will continue to be unsettled for the family. Speaking to Daily Star and other press at a recent screening, Brahmdeo gave further insight into how his character is feeling.
He said: "I think him and Jai have a really nice relationship. Growing up, he always saw Jai as an older brother.
"But to actually find out he was the brother he sort of, A, felt like he had been lied to his whole life and, B, I think there is an undertone of jealousy in a sense. Jai is like the businessman and in the ideal world his dad would have wanted Jai as his son."
The star also confirmed that his character will feel betrayed. He added: "So I think that's all bubbling up as well and just the betrayal."
Actor Anil Goutam who plays Amit has also teased a darker side to his character. Talking to Daily Star he said: "I'm really pleased with how it's been written. There are lots of complexities in this guy and the writers have allowed that freedom and they actually spend time talking to me about the character and what my thoughts on it were, as well as their thoughts on him.
"So I guess he's the sort of person who you've only seen one aspect of him and he has a side to him. He's quite dark as he has a darker side to him, but not in his own mind. I don't think [he sees it] in his own mind.
"He does what he does to protect his family. But it's what he thinks is the right thing to do to protect his family. I think he can convince himself of pretty much anything being the right thing to protect his family."
