Everything you need to know about new Frasier Reboot from cast to storylines
First scene of Episode 1 of Frasier
Kelsey Grammer is set to step into the shoes of neurotic psychiatrist Frasier Crane for one more time as fans gear up for the iconic show’s reboot.
NBC’s most loved sitcom is back and better than ever as the likes of Kelsey and his stuck-up yet loveable character return alongside a stellar lineup of well-known faces as well as some newcomers.
Having previously run for 11 years, and earned a whopping 37 Primetime Emmys, producers behind the show have put their best foot forward when it comes to delivering the same iconic storylines with a fun and exciting twist.
Premiering 30 years ago in 1993, the reboot, which will air on Paramount+, will follow Frasier as he embarks on a new chapter in Boston, Massachusetts as fans follow him on his exciting journey.
Ahead of the series return, here’s everything you need to know and what to expect.

What will the storyline follow?
The last time fans saw Frasier Crane was back on May 13, 2004, when he dropped the bombshell to his friends that he intended to move to San Francisco.
However, upon the landing of his plane, we see he has in fact followed Charlotte to Chicago, saying “wish me luck” as the final moments of the show faded to black.
Plenty of time has passed since that iconic moment, so as the return kicks off fans get reunited with Frasier in present-day Boston – the same city in which Cheers’ set was located and filmed.
With this in mind, many fans have speculated that there could be some cameos yet to come between the two legendary sitcoms – which of course, is likely to cause even more excitement among fans.

Who is in the cast:
It wouldn’t be a Frasier reboot without some of the show’s most iconic characters.
Fans can look forward to the return of Bebe Neuwirth as Dr Lilith Sternin, Jane Leeves as Daphne, Peri Gilpin as Roz Doyle, and Kelsey Grammer as the titular Fraiser Crane.
Sadly, some of the original cast won’t be making a comeback with David Hyde Pierce not reprising his role as Niles, and the sad passing of John Mahoney ruling Martin out of the show.
But there are some new faces on the block to fill their shoes; with the likes of Only Fools and Horses star Nicholas Lyndhurst playing Alan Cornwall an old college friend of Frasier, Jack Cutmore-Scott from Tenet as Freddy, and Jess Salgueiro (The Boys) as Freddy’s roommate, Eve.

How many episodes will the reboot consist of?
Paramount+ is yet to officially confirm the episode count, however back in October 2022, the streamer gave the series an official 10-episode order.
This amount is substantially smaller than the normal Frasier season length of around 24 episodes, which does suggest much more attention to detail may be taken with each individual story.
Where Can You Watch Original Frasier Episodes?
As fans gear up for the reboot it’s likely they will want to refresh their memory of what happened in the original show.
Luckily fans can binge-watch the entire series on Paramount+.
Frasier’s reboot is set to premiere on Thursday, October 12, 2023.
