GMB Kate fumes as co-star says Holly Willoughby has never been more attractive

Ben Shephard was left gushing over Holly Willoughby – but his Good Morning Britain co-host Kate Garraway was not too impressed.
The hit ITV show returned for another instalment on Friday (September 29) with Kate and Ben back at the helm. But within just minutes of GMB airing on TV screens, things took a rather awkward turn.
As viewers will know, Ben left his hosting duties this week to step in and co-host This Morning, alongside Holly Willoughby. The move went down a treat with viewers at home who loved seeing Ben on their screens.

However in Thursday’s episode (September 28) Ben’s GMB co-host Susanna Reid called him out over his presenting gig. And the following day, so did his latest co-host Kate Garraway.
“You’re standing Charlotte where I was yesterday, listening to Ben waft away about the joys of This Morning,” she said. Ben chimed in and quipped: “I had a wonderful team.” Referring to Holly, he added: “I had a lovely co-host who gives you time to talk and share.”
A clip of Ben and Holly hosting This Morning then appeared on the screen. Kate noticed: “He was brimming with happiness, look at you!” She then quizzed: “And you also banged on about a cheesecake?”
He explained: “Not only do they look after you wonderfully, but we get fed. The chefs cook amazing food throughout the show.” Pulling her face Kate then said: “So I felt a little bit like when the kids go round to someone’s house and say ‘Oh Sophie’s mum makes an amazing bolognese!'
“We didn’t want to be outdone here, so we’ve been working very hard on the cheesecake,” she said. Kate then got out a plate from under her desk with a teeny slice of cheesecake on it.

Not impressed, Ben said: “You’ve literally gone down to local corner shop.” After pressure from his co-stars, he tucked into his cheesecake and quipped: “I tell you what, Holly Willoughby has never been more attractive!”
Chewing on the cheesecake, he went on: “It’s something. Thank you for spoiling me rotten, no expense spared to not one spent. I feel very special.”
Kate then chimed in and said: “Very ungrateful.” She added: “Right, we’ll that’s you sorted out. You weren’t very grateful so you better get on with the job!”
