Fans of Good Morning Britain were left fuming as they complained the presenters demonstrated "ignorance" regarding a debate on childbirth.
During Monday morning's programme (October 9) the presenters Ed Balls and Susanna Reid discussed a report which said women are being offered water instead of gas and air during labour. Thi is due to environmental damage caused by the pain relief method.
Known as Entonox, the NHS says the use of Entonox in Scotland alone releases as much gas as 18,000 flights between the UK and USA. So instead, the NHS is offering women injections with sterile water as a form of pain relief.
However, when Ed and Susanna discussed the topic, fans accused the hosts of stirring up a debate. Heading over to X foremly known as Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Not like #gmb to stir up a debate without giving all the facts. Making out like they are removing gas and air and giving women a glass of water instead."
