Gogglebox families who have left iconic show after fan favourites announce exit

  • Gogglebox has become one of the nation’s favourite shows to watch on the telly during the past decade.

    The show started back but since it started in 2013 and since then some of the stars have left the show, for a multitude of reasons.

    In the light of Stephen Webb and his husband Daniel Lustig announcing their departure from the Channel 4 programme, we’re taking a look at some of the other famous faces that have made their TV exit.

    In a heartfelt Instagram post. “We feel the time is right to move on and explore other opportunities.”

    Fans were gutted to hear the news as the pair had become firm fan faves since their years spent on the show.

    Other stars who have left the show include beloved grandparents Leon and June and bougie B&B owners Steph and Dom.

    But there are a whole lot more, with a whole list of reasons why…

    1. Sandi and Sandra

      Sandi left in 2016 to pursue new opportunities, despite Sandra trying to make it work without her, she also left a few months later

      Josh was the first to leave for a job in politics then his sister Amy went off to do Celebs Go Dating. Since the show, Dad Jonathon has gone back to his day job as a chauffeur

    3. The Moffatts

      Iconic Goggleboxer Scarlett left the show in 2016 to pursue a presenting career and her parents decided they couldn’t do it without her in. The three have since starred on The Tribe Next Door together in 2019, where they travelled to the Namibian desert to live with indigenous people

    1. Steph and Dom

      They parted ways with the show in 2016, confessing they felt they couldn’t bring anything further to the programme. Since the show, they have had their own radio show and turned their mansion into a hotel

      June left the show after her husband Leon died age 83 in 2017 after spending four years on the show. June sadly passed away three years later in 2020, aged 82, after a short illness
