Huge Emmerdale exit story 'confirmed' as Jacob and Victoria grow closer
David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) was busy daydreaming about his future with the ‘love of his life’ Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) in Emmerdale…completely unaware that she’s started developing feelings for his son Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant).
Things got a little weird between Jacob and Vic after she accidentally put him in hospital. After Jacob consumed a slider that was made using nut oil, he had an anaphylactic reaction due to his nut allergy.
Fortunately, he was fine, but because Vic was responsible and it happened while at HOP, she was sacked.

After gazing at each other from afar multiple times, it was obvious Jacob’s care for Vic was growing when Gabby (Rosie Bentham) said that she more than likely wouldn’t get her job back.
Jacob’s near-death experience prompted him to confront his feelings tonight. He found Vic at home and said that he could’ve died without her knowing how he truly feels.
As they very nearly kissed, David walked in, dressed in his best blue shirt with a bunch of flowers, ready for dinner with who he thinks is his soulmate.
With Matthew Wolfenden’s exit looming, it won’t be long until David discovers Jacob and Victoria’s true feelings, but will this lead to a departure?
Will he leave the Dales, unable to watch his son start a relationship with his ex?
