I’m A Celebrity’s Nella Rose and Nigel Farage to face first eating trial

Nella Rose and Nigel Farage are set to take part in the first I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Bushtucker trial of the new series following a public vote.

Influencer Nella, 26, and ex-MP Nigel, 59, have been chosen by the public to face the 'Jungle Pizzeria' challenge, which will air on the ITV show on Monday, 20 November. It's understood that it will be an eating trial, kicking off the new series in true I'm A Celeb style.

The hit ITV show returned to screens on Sunday, 19 November with this year's star-studded line-up including the likes of Sam Thompson, Danielle Harold, Josie Gibson and Grace Dent.

The celebrities were thrown in at the deep end, with them each taking on a gruelling trial in a bid to win stars despite not entering the campsite yet.

The I'm A Celebrity launch show saw Grace Dent, Sam Thompson, Fred Sirieix and Danielle Harold take on the revamped Walk The Plank challenge that saw them having to make their way along a pole on the top of a building 100 metres high, whilst unfurling a flag.

In the new challenge, Pole Position, the famous faces found themselves on top of the Focus Building in Surfers Paradise trying to release a flag which had a star symbol on it.

After walking down a ladder they had to edge out and could be seen clinging to a cylindrical metal pole on all fours as they tried to edge along with the star, which helped them to release the flag bit by bit.

Fred got his flag open first followed by Danielle, with Grace and Sam then both getting theirs open afterwards.

Elsewhere, Marvin Humes, Nick Pickard and Jamie Lynn Spears took on the dreaded skydive. But that wasn't all, as they were then thrown straight into the first trial of the series – the Temple of Doom.

The trio were tied up in glass boxes, and took on a jungle-themed spelling test while bugs were dropped on them from above. Hollyoaks actor Nick drew the short straw as he had to collect stars using his mouth, all while avoiding massive spiders.

Meanwhile, Josie Gibson, Nigel Farage and Nella Rose were dropped off in the middle of the desert and each faced a terrifying trial.

Josie had to put her head in barrels filled with gunge and retrieve stars, while Nella and Nigel both had to put their heads in boxes with snakes and use only their mouths to get tokens. Nella came out with no tokens, while Nigel got two tokens and Josie retrieved four in total.
