ITV Im A Celebritys Ant and Dec want BGT star to sign up after they admit I’d be a screamer

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have got their first target in sight for next year's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! – Amanda Holden.

The pair were asking fans for suggestions to enter camp in 2024 when one suggested radio host and Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda.

The duo know her well from their time working on BGT and both seemed excited by the idea of getting her on the show.

Ant, 48, said: "I've just seen someone say 'get Amanda Holden on the show' written in capitals. Okay, yeah I am not saying no to that one. Let's get her on the show.

"Amanda, if you are watching, we'll see you on here. Come on, you would love it. Come on in, the water is freeing!" Dec nodded in agreement.

Ant responded less well when someone suggested Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jnr, saying: "Shut up man, Iron Man is not going to do I'm A Celebrity."

In April 2020 Amanda said she might do the show, but only if it was the last ever series. She explained: "If Ant and Dec announced it would be their last ever series, then I think they’d get to choose who is in it, and we’d all have to do it."

On the famous eating trials she added: "I’d be a screamer – but there’s nothing I wouldn’t put in my mouth, babe."

Elsewhere, Ant and Dec opened up about their love for latecomer Tony Bellew and the impact he has had on camp.

And they vowed to continue to wind him up even if they risk getting a jab from the former world boxing champion.

Discussing Friday night's group trial Grim Gutter where Tony had struggled facing snakes whilst trying to win stars, Dec said: "Tony Bellew nearly lost his mind which is why he got chosen for the next trial."

Ant said: "I like winding him up because he says 'shut up you smart arse'. We like being a pair of smart arses when it comes to Tony. He might deck us one day, but oh well, it will be for bants."

The pair also admitted that like the campmates they were guilty of not clearing up after themselves and have paid the price after leaving chocolate advent calendars in the outdoor TV studios in the bush.

Dec said: "Talking about the camp leaving things out and rats coming in into camp. Somebody left the Advent Calendars out. They got attacked by possums."

Ant added: "They tend to go into bins and stuff and eat things. So we won't be eating anymore of that!"
