ITV I’m A Celeb’s Jamie Lynn Spears covered in bugs as she squirms in first trial

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is back with a bang, and it's not for the faint-hearted.

As the ITV show kicks off tonight, Marvin Humes, Nick Pickard and Jamie Lynn Spears take on the dreaded skydive.

But that's not all, as they are then thrown straight into the first trial of the series – the Temple of Doom.

A sneak peek trailer shows the trio tied up in glass boxes, taking on a jungle-themed spelling test while bugs are dropped on them from above.

Hollyoaks actor Nick seems to have drawn the short straw as he has to collect stars using his mouth, all while avoiding massive spiders.

Britney's younger sister Jamie Lynn is seen squirming as she tries to win stars for camp, while JLS singer Marvin is also seen struggling with the creepy crawlies all over him.

It comes after reports that Jamie Lynn broke a major show protocol after refusing to take part in pre-show interviews.

The US star, who is entering the jungle alongside famous faces like Nigel Farage and Josie Gibson, declined to participate in pre-show interviews.

A source shared with MailOnline: "While it is a choice whether camp mates take part in the interviews, they usually do – no questions asked.

"But Jamie said no, that she didn't want to speak before she entered the show. It was very disappointing, fans of the show are so excited about what she has to say."

The celebs are kept separate before entering the jungle, staying in different hotels around the Gold Coast to prevent them from meeting their campmates. They have no phones and are always accompanied by chaperones.

This means no contact with the outside world, except for press interviews which Jamie Lynn has refused.

Meanwhile on the launch show, Nigel Farage will be stranded in the middle of the Australian outback.

He, This Morning host Josie Gibson and YouTuber Nella Rose will be dropped in the red desert in the scorching heat and tasked with helping their campmates thousands of miles away.

Their mission is to win time for their fellow campmates who are taking part in other challenges on the coast.

The trio will face various challenges in the Outback to help their campmates in their bid to win stars and ultimately food.

I'm A Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here! will be back on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, November 19 at 9pm
