ITV This Mornings Josie Gibson is third star to land in Australia ahead of Im A Celeb
Josie Gibson has arrived in Brisbane amid rumours she's heading into I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The 38-year-old This Morning host is the third rumoured I'm A Celeb campmate to land in Australia, as the show's launch date draws nearer.
She said: "I’m really excited to be here in Australia, I have never been here before. What am I scared of? I’m here for a weight loss retreat so I don’t know what you’re talking about."
Told she might be on a diet of rice and beans in the jungle, Josie quipped: "If that is the programme that is the programme!"
Josie was then asked if it was tough leaving home, as it meant leaving her son Reggie, five, behind. She said: “It was hard saying goodbye to my son because he is only five.
"Oh, it was really emotional saying goodbye. I can talk about it. I feel so emotional."
Josie will also leave behind her This Morning co-host Craig Doyle. She said: “Craig is so nice, I think he is with Cat Deeley on Wednesday and then Rylan too. So, make sure you don’t miss it!”
Bristol-born Josie first found fame when she won the 11th series of Big Brother back in 2010, where she managed to secure a huge 77.5 percent of the public vote making her one of the most popular contestants ever.
And if the bookkeepers prove correct then she may be able to add the Queen of the Jungle title to her impressive record.
Josir first began appearing on This Morning as a competition announcer in 2019 and once again proved a hit with TV viewers.
She is now an established co-presenter on the show and following Phillip Schofield’s departure has been steadily getting more and more days fronting the show.
Earlier today (Sunday, November 12), the first rumoured celebrity campmates for this year's series made their way through Brisbane Airport.
GB News host and former UKIP leader Nigel Farage was photographed making his way through arrivals, before casually claiming he was in the country to 'surf' as he left the arrivals lounge.
He said: "I'm just here surfing for the week," as he was quizzed by journalists while walking through the airport. Mr Farage was pictured wearing a bright blue shirt and a contrasting pink patterned blazer along with a pair of beige trousers and held a black bag as he greeted those waiting for him at arrivals.
Hours later, social media star Nella, 26, who boasts a whopping 800,000 subscribers to her YouTube channel and a further 892,000 on Instagram, landed in Australia too.
