Loose Women’s Kaye Adams dismisses ‘bad luck’ claims and shares odd theory

Loose Women anchor Kaye Adams has made a startling confession that she belives brings her good luck.

Kaye was hosting the ITV panel show on Friday (October 13), and was being joined by Myleene Klass, Nadia Sawalha and Judi Love. The foursome were discussing strange superstitions and their effect on the panellists.

Guest panellist Myleene Klass admitted to the age-old tradition of saluting lone magpies. She explained that she "tries to reason with herself" into refusing to undertaking the action, but eventually bows into pressure and secretly salutes the bird.

"I really, really, really try to reason with myself, cause I don't wanna be superstitious," she said. "But I do the thing with the magpies when my kids aren't looking – they've picked up on what I'm doing."

She continued: "I'm really trying not to be stupid. I know it's ridiculous and that I'm talking it around. It's not the magpie's fault it was there."

Later on in the discussion, Kaye revealed her secret theory that she is followed around by the number 13. She went on to say that the number has infiltrated her entire family.

Kicking the discussion off, she explained that according to a recent survey, homes that are numbered 13 sell at around £5,000 less than the average price. However, she dismissed the claims, saying that the number has proven to be a source of good luck for her.

"It's weird about the house numbers that if you're 13, it'll sell for less," she admitted. "We love 13 in my family."

"We moved into the number 13 on the thirteenth day of the month on my brother's 13th birthday – and he was born on the thirteenth as well." After making her revelation, the other panellists were left in shock and the audience awwed, clearly surprised by the theory.

Fellow panellist Judi Love also confessed to an affinity to the usually unlucky number. The comedian elaborated that her family would often come into money on the thirteenth of the month.

"Thirteen, for me – I have no problems with," she joked. "I found when I was growing up, my mum would always win things on the thirteenth."
