MAFS Georges blasts rodent co-stars after they called his relationship with Peggy fake
Married At First Sight UK star Georges Berthonneau has slammed his former co-stars as "rodents" after they branded his relationship with Peggy Rose Lawrence – who he met on MAFS – as 'fake'.
Georges, 30, took to Instagram to do a Q&A with fans, where he confirmed that he is still in a relationship with Peggy, despite their ups and downs on the show.
When one fan asked him if they are indeed still together, months after the show's end, he raised his eyebrows and said: "How is this a question? Yes."
In the next Instagram story, another fan questioned: "Is what Jordan & E [Erica] said about you and P being fake true? Hope not š fave couple!'," at which Jordan shook his head.
Later on, Georges went into more detail as he addressed Jordan's claims, adding a number of rodent emojis to the video.
He said: "I won't say much but what I will say to you is if you believe a couple that only ever argued at the dinner table so that they got screen time, then you need hypnotizing.
"Please do not listen to the rodents, and please just let actions speak louder than words."
Jordan had told The Sun previously of their relationship: "I just don't believe in it whatsoever.
"We'll see soon with couples; will they still be together in like a year's time? I'll be absolutely shocked if they are ā unless they're getting success together as a couple."
Jordan's partner Erica, with whom he is still going strong, added: "They only see each other once a week. They have an agreement that they see each other once a week."
During his Instagram Q&A Georges also discussed the upcoming boxing match between Luke Worley and Jordan, after the pair originally came to blows during their time on the show – leading to Luke being kicked off the show.
He explained that he was putting his support behind Luke, due to Jordan slamming his relationship with Peggy so publicly.
Georges said: "Well, I don't really like sitting on the fence, but then Jordan decides to come for me in the papers, so, I guess he can just stand on his own. Team Luke!"
Peggy and Georges recently admitted that their "journey" had not been the smoothest on the show, however, they have delighted fans after confirming they are still going "strong" outside of the experiment.
In a joint Instagram post, the couple said: "CONFIRMED: Weāre still together! We held back on sharing and smothering socials to give ourselves some much needed quality time post the show ending.
"Although we are in a relationship, we still have our own identity and individuality – thatās what makes us so strong. As cliche as this sounds, we want to thank you all for your patience – it hasnāt been easy, but sharing our journey with you means the world as your ongoing love and support are everything to us."
