Neighbours Byron Stone stars Big Brother past exposed as he replaces actor
Neighbours star Xavier Molyneuz appeared on Big Brother Australia before landing the role of Byron Stone in the rebooted version of the popular soap.
The Aussie serial drama returned to television screens last month with plenty of familiar faces back in Ramsay Street and as well as some new characters. It was revealed earlier this year that Bryron will now be played by Xavier instead of previous actor Joe Klocek.
Joe played the son of Jane Harris in the final weeks of the soap's Channel 5 run last year and left a few days before the finale. When a fan commented on one of his
posts asking why he wouldn't be returning to Ramsay Street, he replied: "Work and life has taken me elsewhere but Byron Stone is in good hands!"

The soap's official Twitter page confirmed the recasting on July 15 with a photo of Xavier alongside his on-screen mum, Annie Jones."We're very excited to announce that Xavier Molyneux will be taking on the role of Byron Stone. The son of Jane Harris, Byron will be thrust into the heart of the Ramsay Street drama when Neighbours returns this September."
Xavier is no stranger to treading the boards, as he previously had various roles in local theatre. According to his Instagram, the star is somewhat of a model, having joined Precision Modelling agency in Australia back in December 2021.
He's also posted various videos of himself singing as he strummed along to his guitar whilst advertising various gigs. Speaking to Digital Spy and other press, Xavier explained at the time: "I cried when I got the part. Just because, obviously, it was huge when I was growing up. I loved the show. I was supposed to be travelling all this year and I got a call from my agent, whilst I was in Canada.
"My agent called and said: 'If you get on the next flight, you can get in front of Thea McLeod, who's casting Neighbours for Byron Stone' – who I tried out for last year, and I came second to Joe Klocek! So it was a big moment. It was just one of those moments where you go, 'Maybe somebody's looking after me, after all.
Xavier previously appeared on the Australian version of reality show Big Brother in 2020. During his time in the famous house, production was paused after a crew member tested positive for coronavirus. In an unprecedented move for the reality show, bosses allowed the contestants , who are usually cut off from the outside world, to make a phone call to their loved ones.

The TV star spoke to his girlfriend, joking to her that he was "sharing a bed with two really hot chicks". Appearing on Sunrise following his eviction, Xavier revealed how she responded when he got home. "When we went in she was wondering whether it would be like the old Big Brother where you were hanging out in the hot tub and doing all that… so I was kind of playing off that," he explained.
"I had to pay for it when I got out, so I think I’ve got to take her off to Noosa or something soon."
