Harry Potter actor David Bradley attends Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly Come Dancing fans were left in shock as they noticed a cameo from Harry Potter actor David Bradley.
As the competition entered its fifth week, the 81-year-old actor was spotted cheering on Nigel Harman as he took to the dancefloor with dance partner Katya Jones.
Viewers were quick to spot the familiar face who played the Argus Filch in the Harry Potter franchise and murderous Walder Frey from Game of Thrones and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their surprise.
One viewer wrote: “Is the Harry Potter actor David Bradley in the #SCD audience?”
Whilst another wrote: “David Bradley in the audience for #Strictly has made my evening. I could only be more impressed if he’d had a deactivated sea mine with him #hotfuzz”
A third added: “Am I still groggy after my afternoon nap or did I just see Filch from Harry Potter in the audience?”

Nigel then responded: “He’s a wonderful part of my life.”
Fans at home went wild to hear this, with one writing: “David Bradley in the strictly audience is iconic actually”

Nigel and David are long-time friends after starring in a production of The Caretaker in 2008.
In 2022, they embarked on a road trip together when they took part in BBC One’s Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.
As well as being there to support his friend Nigel, David is also a big fan of Strictly Come Dancing and has attended recordings of the show in the past.
Nigel and Katya were praised for their Foxtrot, with head judge Shirley Ballas saying that it wouldn’t look out of place on a West End Stage.
Although she did highlight Nigel’s nerves, saying: “You have to channel your mind… just imagine you’re in a practice hall.”
The duo got an impressive 29 points from the judges.
Strictly Come Dancing returns on Sunday at 7.15pm on BBC One.
