Peggy rushed to hospital after medical emergency while filming

Married at First Sight star Peggy hasn’t had the easiest time on the show, with dinner party disagreements and tearful therapy sofa sessions. However, things went from bad to worse on the show when she was rushed to hospital for severe allergic reactions.

The 32-year-old reveals that an allergy to dust caused her problems during filming. “I had the worst allergy to dust, which I didn't realise I had until moving into the apartments,” she says.

“We were right by Wembley, where they cut the grass three times a day and I had a pollen allergy. So my eyes were swelling up every morning. I was in and out of hospital several times on antibiotics, steroids. I had to put makeup on my eyes and I couldn't even see my lash line and I think it's an element of stress as well.”

Speaking of stress, Peggy chose to give up her job as a technology risk partner after the show and instead pursued her passion for fashion. “I’m a reseller of unique clothes – I absolutely love it because I want to do something that I can do for the rest of my life.

“My old job was making me ill. I hadn’t had a period in four years because of stress with my job. It’s hard and you get comments online like, ‘She looks pregnant,’ and I’m like, ‘I would love to be pregnant because I don’t know if I can have children at the moment, you know?’”

Aside from the odd comment, Peggy says the public has generally been “supportive” and while she can’t say whether she’s still with Georges, she’s grateful for the match.

“We’ve had our ups and downs, but I feel like every relationship goes through that,” she says. “I am not perfect, Georges isn’t, but we can be perfect together – that’s what I kept saying in my head and I feel like we learnt so much in the process. It’s all a learning experience.”

MAFS fans took to social media last week after Peggy made an X-rated confession about her husband Georges' sexual preferences.

The Kent-based contestant told her mum and sister that the couple had their "challenges", letting slip that "Georges likes rimming". Peggy's sister Holly was quick to reply, "Sorry? Oh Georges no!"
