Strictly Come Dancings Nikita Kanda hits back at fans over partner probe
Strictly unveils BBC presenter Nikita Kanda as ninth contestant
One of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing celebrity contestants has taken to social media to let fans know that she won’t be letting slip who she will be partnered up with on the upcoming series.
Nikita Kanda, who was the ninth celebrity to be announced this year, captioned a video on her Instagram: “When people won’t stop asking who your dance partner is.”
Nikita also asked her followers to “be patient friends,” as she used a trending sound to humorously hit back at fans who have been probing her for more information.
The added audio said: “Don’t ask. No. Is there a chance? Girl.”
Nikita is possibly best known as the current host of the BBC Asian Network’s Breakfast show.

She also routinely appears on The One Show to cover a range of different topics as a reporter and was recently nominated for Presenter of the Year at the Asian Media Awards.
She will be joining stars such as Angela Scanlon, Krishnan Guru-Murthy and former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas on the famous dancefloor this series. But which professional dancer could she potentially be paired up with?
Some of her fans took to the comment section of the video to weigh in with their ideas.
Maths teacher, broadcaster and author Bobby Seagull commented: “It has to be Nikita and Nikita!” So could she possibly get fan-favourite Nikita Kuzmin as her partner?

Two more of Nikita’s fans echoed this sentiment as one said: “If we don’t get Nikita and Nikita,” while another added: “It’s gotta be nikita omg.”
A fourth had a different opinion: “I hope its Giovanni!”
Fans of the show won’t have long to wait until the fifteen celebrities are paired up with the professional dancers. But whoever Nikita is partnered with, she’s excited to get started.
Speaking to the BBC, the radio and TV presenter revealed: “I can’t believe I’m going to be on Strictly. This is a dream come true. I’m still pinching myself.”
She continued: “I don’t think it will properly sink in until I step onto the dancefloor. I can’t wait to get glammed up and get out there. Throw the glitter on me!”
It doesn’t appear that any new professionals will be joining the show this series, however, new faces from the 2022 series Lauren Oakley and Michelle Tsiakkas will return.
The official line-up of professional dancers also includes popular names such as Johannes Radebe, Dianne Buswell, Gorka Marquez, Katya Jones, Graziano Di Prima and Karen Hauer.
Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One this autumn.
