Tupacs Sister Calls Murder Charge Pivotal Moment, But Reminds Fans: Multiple Hands Involved
Tupac Shakur’s sister has called the charge of a gang leader with his murder “a pivotal moment.”
Sekyiwa Shakur posted on her social media her feelings following the indictment on Friday of Duane “Keffe” Davis on one count of murder.
Sekyiwa wrote that “”today is a victory” but “reserved judgement” until legal proceedings had been completed.
She said: “It’s important to me that the world, the country, the justice system, and our people acknowledge the gravity of the passing of this man, my brother, my mother’s son, my father’s son.

“There have been multiple hands involved and there remains so much surrounding the life and death of my brother Tupac and our Shakur family overall. We are seeking real justice, on all fronts.”
Her words follow those of Tupac’s step-brother Mopreme Shakur, who told CNN:
“We have been through decades of pain. They have known about this guy, who been running his mouth, for years.
“So why now? For us, this is not over. We want to know why, and if there were any accomplices.”
Duane Davis is expected to appear in court in the next few days. Tupac Shakur was shot four times in a drive-by attack in Las Vegas on September 7th1996. He died a few days later in hospital.
The New York-born rapper remains one of the most acclaimed names in hip hop. He sold more than 75million records, and also appeared in films including Juice, Poetic Justice, Above the Rim, Gridlock’d and Gang Related.
Shakur’s close friend Jada Pinkett Smith said yesterday: “Now I hope we can get some answers and have some closure. R.I.P. Pac.”
