Oti Mabuse announces pregnancy on her breakfast show
Oti Mabuse has revealed she is terrified of turning into “Fiona from Shrek” during her pregnancy, as she begged fans for advice on how to prevent the prospect.
The 33-year-old Strictly fave and Dancing on Ice judge exclaimed on Instagram: “One thing about being African and pregnant is that your face starts showing you flames!”
Agonising over possible future changes to her appearance, she listed: “Neck goes extremely dark, nose fills your face, cheeks expand [and] you get hyperpigmentation across the whole face and body.”
She continued: “Lips look like you’ve had unnecessary Botox, skin develops extreme acne, complexion darkens.
“We simply turn into Fiona from Shrek!”

She turned to her 664,000 Instagram followers for advice on how to ward off the physical changes she is concerned about, explaining: “I’m okay with it now, because it hasn’t happened fully yet.”
However, the mum-to-be added: “For those who have experienced this, how do I prevent it? Or it’s those get-over-it things.”(sic)
She listed her woes to the sound of Smash Mouth’s ‘I’m A Believer’, which appears on the Shrek movie soundtrack and features the words: “Then I saw her face, now I’m a believer.”
Oti then blew a playful kiss to the camera, which zoomed in to reveal a flawless complexion.

While it currently looks like Oti has absolutely nothing to worry about, she has become nervous as her due date grows nearer, since first learning of her pregnancy back in April.
She and Marius had been unsuccessfully trying for a baby before being taken by surprise by a sudden positive test.
“We had been trying for a while and decided to stop (it all just got too much) and just live life as us two as nothing was happening,” she revealed on Instagram at the time.
“My friend @takkies7 asked me to test because I was drinking coffee and I don’t drink coffee,” the South African star continued.
“We enjoyed each other’s company, dinners, concerts, parties, just simply removed all the pressure and here we are!” she exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Oti is determined to maintain maximum comfort throughout her pregnancy, mischievously revealing that she’s “living in leggings” and her husband’s shirts.
“Until I start looking like the Michelin man, which will be soon, I’m raiding his closet… (he’s going to love it….I think),” she joked, punctuating her comment with a tears of laughter emoji during Tuesday’s update.
“ANY GOOD MATERNITY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME,” she added.
