Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid gets new co-host in presenter shake-up live on air | The Sun
GOOD Morning Britain anchor Susanna Reid got a new co-host live on air during an unexpected shake-up.
The ITV favourite, 52 – who has been away from the show herself after losing her voice – opened the episode with regular show presenter Ed Balls, 56.
Yet with just 45 minutes of Wednesday's Good Morning Britain left to air, it was all change.
Ed donned a red pocket handkerchief and promptly switched to the other side of the desk for the entertainment section.
This led showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold, 53, to take his place on the main presenting table by Susanna.
She told how Ed had craved to host the segment this week due to his love of new ITV dating show, My Mum Your Dad.

As such, Ed led the interview with new My Mum Your Dad bombshell Janey Smith, who entered the show last night.
He asked her how it felt walking into the villa, to which she replied: "I loved it.
"Just as I was walking in I felt really excited but I looked around and saw everyone I was shocked.

"I didn't remember anyone's face or anyone's name. I didn't know where I was."
She added how the cast were "really, really nice to me" despite her making a bombshell entry and setting her eyes on another man.
Richard then took over the interview from the main presenter hot seat and asked her about her vow on the show that there "was a lot more to come" from her.
She said she would be vulnerable and added: "I don't care any more, I am putting it all out there.
"It is fine to feel vulnerable."
Her son Will was then asked to pick a man on the show for his mum to date, to which he replied Clayton.
After the segment, Richard read out the news link to an upcoming story about a hike in drinks prices as Ed stayed on the other side of the desk.
Yet he quickly returned to his post following the commercial break, with normality resumed.
Meanwhile, Susanna returned to GMB on Tuesday.
The show legend was forced to miss Wednesday's episode of the ITV show last week after losing her voice at the National Television Awards.
The following day co-host Ed revealed Susanna turned up for work but was told she wasn't going on air after producers seemingly heard her croaking in her dressing room.
She was also told to skip Monday's show and told her Instagram followers ahead of the programme: "Sorry I won't be with you in the morning. Vocal chords affected by mild infection (not [Covid]), that I didn't even realise I had.
