Fletcher pulls on gloves and produces a syringe as it dawns on Dana that he’s going to kill her and stage it as an overdose. She manages to kick her captor in the chest and hit him with the chair, but Dana is still locked inside the shack.

Finding her captor's phone, Dana attempts to call Harper, but just as the call connects, Fletcher grabs her from behind. Later, Madden administers a lethal dose before he begins to write her suicide letter.

Rose manages to trace the phone used by Dana. As the police arrive at the shack, they find Madden trying to "revive" Dana, claiming he found her unconscious.

As Bree attempts to save Dana, a distraught Harper knows this was down to Madden. Dana eventually wakes up and Cash arrests Madden. Later, Rose reveals she thinks the DPP will want to press charges against Irene, Harper and Cash, meaning they could all be looking at jail time.

Irene worries about facing criminal charges but insists she would do it all again to protect Harper and Dana. When she admits to John that she's worried about going to prison, he panics her further with talk of a maximum sentence of seven years.

Meanwhile, Cash takes a phone call from his superiors who reveal he’s suspended from the force until further notice. Across the Bay, Tane and Felicity are excited by the idea of buying land in New Zealand.

John wastes no time getting involved and when he asks if the couple are planning to extend their family, Felicity bites back. When they sit down for dinner with Eden and Cash, he can tell that Tane's distracted.

Tane opens up about how much Felicity has grown since they've been together and wonders where she stands on having a baby. The next day, Tane works up the courage to talk to his wife, leaving Felicity floored when he suggests they have a baby.
