Killer Stephen's next victim confirmed in Corrie strangling horror

Beloved Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) faces Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) murderous wrath in Coronation Street next week.

Ever since Stephen began a relationship with Elaine (Paula Wilcox), Tim grew convinced that he is bad news. His suspicions were proved correct when he discovered Stephen’s fake life insurance documents and after Leo’s body was found, he wasted no time in expressing his thoughts on Stephen more than likely being involved.

Tim’s suspicions niggle away at him again next week, as he learns of Stephen’s interest in the canal dredging project.

Cogs whirring in his mind, Tim heads to the canal towpath, grabs an old boat hook and starts poking around in the water.

To his horror, a corpse’s hand then floats to the surface.

Rushing back to the cab, Tim manages to call the police and reports finding a dead body, but the call then cuts out.

Tim is then forced to switch his focus as Stephen climbs into the back of the car and attempts to strangle him with a tie.

Fortunately, Tim manages to escape, but his attempt at making it back to the cobbles is destroyed when he trips over and is then smacked on the head by Stephen with a brick.

In Weatherfield, as Sally (Sally Dynevor) remains under the impression that Tim avoided her wedding anniversary plans to go to a football match with Kevin (Michael Le Vell), she has no idea her husband is actually fighting for his life in the boot of his car – which is also being doused in petrol.

But will Stephen kill Tim?
