Strictly star breaks silence after Bobby Brazier says he’s ‘in love with’ Dianne Buswell – saying ‘it’s easy to fall’ | The Sun

ONE Strictly star has broken his silence over the 'Strictly Curse' after Bobby Brazier said he was ‘in love with’ Dianne Buswell.

Brendan Cole appeared in the first 15 series of the popular primetime ballroom competition, so he has a fair bit of experience of dealing with the pressures of the show.

He even split with pro dancer Camilla Dallerup back in the first series of 2004 after being partnered up with Natasha Kaplinsky.

In the current instalment of Strictly Come Dancing, Eastenders star Bobby, 20, has been partnered up with 34-year-old Dianne, who partner is former contestant Joe Sugg.

He recently admitted that he was 'falling in love' with his professional partner.

The actor previously told The Mirror at the Pride Of Britain Awards: "I could speak about Dianne all day. She's just a diamond – you know what, I'm falling in love with her. She's just great. I feel very lucky."

And now Brendan, 47, has opened up as he admitted he's not surprised about romances developing on the show due to the nature of the intimacy between the dancing couples.

He told The Sun: "The beautiful and wonderful thing about Strictly is if you get on well [with your partner], it's an amazing experience because you are going through the experience with somebody else and it feels like you're the only person in the world doing this crazy little thing that everybody's talking about, and it's an amazing thing to be a part of.

“If you enjoy each other's company and if you respect each other, which is the key, there's a chance of falling in love.

"I'm not necessarily talking about 'I want to spend the rest of my life with you', but actually just that mutual respect, where you just love what they're giving you.

"As the pros on the show, you give your partner everything, you give your entire self sometimes.

"You are their [celebs] emotional support, you are their physical support, you are giving them every tool you've got to be able to get through each week and you're giving them the strength."

He added:"If you think about any other kind of relationship outside of Strictly, two people meet each other, they fall in love, they support each other, they give each other strength in the good times and the bad times.

"That's the kind of partnership that you can create on Strictly because it is so intense for such an intensive period of time.

"Relationships form very easily, and I've had a few of them on Strictly where you really bond, and you want the best for them. You can fall in love!"

In January 2018, Brendan confirmed that his Strictly contract had not been renewed.

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine at the time, he said: "It’s quite, actually, hard to talk about.

"The BBC haven’t renewed my contract. We get contracted year upon year. They’ve made an editorial decision to not have me back on the show.

"I’m a little bit in shock. I’m quite emotional, a bit raw about it. It’s done via a process of a phone call and stuff. I have had 15 incredible series on the show.

"I’m very proud of the whole show. It’s a great team. I’m disappointed. It’s very hard to talk about."

But it was Brendan's behaviour towards to head judge Shirley Ballas that was apparently the final straw for bosses, who had decided enough was enough.

The Sun previously revealed the panel forced bosses to drop the dancer following his on-air spat with the new head judge.
